THIERRY COLSON
Fervently involved in fashion, and after traveling in India, Thierry Colson launched his first collection in 2005, in shirting and pajamas for both men and women. His first project soon after became a womenswear collection. Exclusive Indian blockprint designs and handmade embroideries reveal Thierry Colson's affection for artisanal work. All the shirting is made in France with fine Italian poplins.
Delicate, innocent and relaxed, his collections are inspired by art, or the memory of a trip that stimulates one's creativity and seduces our imagination.
For PS25, Thierry touched on four key notes:
LIDO STRIPES - always a key element, this time a nod to Visconti's 1971 "Death in Venice".
GARDEN OF EDEN PRINT - remembering a wander through mimosa fields the French Riviera.
MIMOSA EMBROIDERY - a very sophisticated combination of honey and rusty blond degrade cotton threads, hand embroidered on cabbage white coloured Dobby voile cotton. Thoughts of mediterranean flora scorched by the summer sun.
COTTAGE BLOCK PRINT - a tribute to cozy British lifestyle. This tiny, fresh and delicate pattern is inspired by a late 18th Century hunting scene with flying birds and cornflowers in the air. The trio of degrade blue hues evokes the pattern of a porcelain teacup, a staple in the country milieu.
