Two NY
Since 2010, Monica Patel-Cohn has drawn from her roots to create modern, minimalist caftans, tunics and easy dresses using handwoven fabrics. With an Indian father and Milanese mother, time spent abroad immersed in these two vast cultures nurtured her love of textiles and colour.
Each TWO NY piece embodies European and Indian influences evolving from the traditional sari. Fabrics range from khadi hand-spun cottons in indigo dyes to Bangladeshi Jamdani fabrics. Each piece is constructed with french seams and self-binding.
Hand weaving fabrics saves 1 ton of CO2 emissions per year per handloom.
