In Images: Le Mont St. Michel

Specializing in utility workwear since 1913, Le Mont St. Michel is a vintage brand with a bright new future. Alexandre Milan took over the label in 1998, adding his own family legacy. As one of the last witnesses and stakeholders in the French knitwear industry which has now almost entirely disappeared, Alexandre developed a passion for rare yarns and complex knits. Les Tricotages de L'Aa, founded by his grandmother in 1919, is still running, adding distinctive knitwear to the Le Mont St. Michel collection.

The brand's design studio is still located in the original location of the Monthorin Castle in French Brittany, where decades of textile archives remain. A constant source of inspiration for every new collection.
